2018 – Week 13 Picks - Jacknife Sports

The guessers were pretty tightly bunched in the straight up picks. Travis had a huge disparity in SU versus ATS picks. He went 8 games over .500 straight up, and 4 games under .500 ATS. Kyle keeps increasing his lead in the standings for picks against the spread. He needs to go to Vegas. Allan won the straight up picks for the week. The Stanford-Cal game wasn't played so that pick will just roll over to 12/1 when they play. (Travis - 11-3 SU, 5-9 ATS. Allan - 12-2, 7-7. Kyle - 10-4, 9-5.)

We are here. Not sure how it happened so fast. It's the last week of the regular season. It seems like just yesterday we were talking about the Alabama QB controversy, TCU looking like a contender after how they played against Ohio State, Mark Richt bringing Miami back to national prominence, Wisconsin about to run through the Big 10 west, Lane Kiffin positioning himself for his next Power 5 job. There was so much out in front of us, and now we are here.

There are still some conference championship game slots to determine and some big rivalry games this weekend. Throw those records out the window! It's the biggest Big Game in a few years as Michigan heads to the Horseshoe. Notre Dame looks to end USC's season and Clay Helton's coaching tenure at the school. The Apple Cup will determine who gets to play Utah in the PAC 12 championship. The Sun Belt eastern division is up for grabs between Troy and Appalachian State.

One conference championship game that is set is the ACC. Pitt will be taking on Clemson. Assuming Clemson gets by rival South Carolina and Alabama wins the Iron Bowl, Clemson will probably remain number 2 in the country heading into that game against Pitt. Where have we seen this before? Pitt knocking out #2 West Virginia in 2007. Pitt taking out #2 Clemson in 2016. Pitt trashing #2 Miami in 2017. It sure doesn't seem likely it will happen this year, but it seemed unlikely all the other times too.
